Retained by Logistics Director to review, Transport and Warehouse operation with view to reduce costs and improve operating procedures. Outsourced onward distribution by selection of preferred carriers. Planed, costed and presented overall review to close owned sites and revert to shared user, sourced service providers for Internet Shopping Home Delivery Service. Reorganised warehouse picking faces for fast moving and seasonal stock, changed picking schedules, shifts to allow goods to be ready for loading in line with 3PL and own vehicle availability and delivery time.

Full P & L responsibility for up to 5 Depots covering North West, North East of England, Yorkshire and Scotland. Providing Logistic Solutions for various major retailers Ensuring targets on Sales revenue, costs and service levels are met. Input into future corporate strategy answering to the board of directors. Liasing with major customers on our Nominated Carrier Schemes such as Nike, Argos, Makro, Gus, P C World, Staples, Dunelm Mill etc. providing collection, delivery and warehousing solutions in line with their required in store due dates. Operating national pallet groupage services. Agreeing KPI’s and SLA’s, negotiating contracts, implementing tailor made systems to meet our customers needs in warehousing and distribution, overall responsibility for the P & L for the Region. Dealing with all personnel issues, Building maintainance, Insurance, Health and Safety and Security. Working closely with the Business development teams and Group Health and Safety and Security Managers. Recently we have undergone a major Restructure of our Business which has involved the closure of some of our network I have played a major part in design and implementation of this restructure through to completion.
