My research focuses on developing imaging methods for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), especially for cardiovascular imaging. Over these years, the technique that I have been interested in is diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). During my Ph.D. in France, I studied Magnetic Resonance (MR) physics and how to implement imaging sequences into the MRI scanner. I also received extensive training to scan the cardiovascular system. I have spent hours accumulating MRI scanning experience on phantoms, animals, healthy volunteers, and patients involving different organs such as brain, liver, leg, prostate, and especially cardiovascular system. I gained teaching experience by providing invited lectures at UCLA and Stanford University during various MRI physics courses. I trained both undergraduate and graduate students on how to scan and was therefore involved in multiple collaborations that resulted in several collaborative publications. Furthermore, I had organized and taught my own lectures to graduate students and post-docs on how to program MRI sequences in C++. Thanks to the knowledge of MR physics accumulated over the years, I now produce my own technical and scientific deliverables in the form of MRI pulse sequences. These sequences are already shared with several worldwide institutes, which has allowed my work to spread and to produce strong international collaborations.
