During my time with Persimmon I gained consent for over 4,000 homes. This was achieved through site due diligence, meaningful pre-application contact with Local Authorities, pre-application consultation events whilst procuring and managing technical studies, project management planning submissions and writing planning statements/pre-application consultation report/design and access statements. During the application process I negotiated the wording of planning conditions and legal agreements. Working within a team I also identifed strategic and short term housing sites to promote through the planning system through either the local development plan or via planning applications. Additional workload consisted of reviewing and making representations to local and national consultations relating to policy, development plans and other relevant guidance whilst also monitoring planning appeals, reviewing education capacity and extensive work in the calculation of Housing Land Supply and how it can be used to facilitate development.During my time with Persimmon I was also a Trustee of the Persimmon Charitable Foundation which sought to promote urban regeneration in areas of economic and social deprivation, promote sustainable development, support the advancement of young people through education and development, advance amateur sport as well as health and relief of sickness and the relief of those in need because of poverty, youth, ill health, disability or disadvantage. As part of this I also made submissions to external consultations, development plan reviews or planning applications that effect the airports interests.I regularly engaged with and managed a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, the latter ranging from local and national government departments to transport providers. Internally I also ensured that the end goal was clearly understood by communicating both long and short term strategies.From 2011-2014 I was the Secretary of the Community Board. This involved writing criteria for governing the award of funding to organisations and charities.
