Before retiring a few years ago I was a global manager working in the software and electronics industries. I may no longer be in the corporate world but the skills I have learned I still use to help and improve both people and processes.I spent short while as a mentor at Globally Onward helping professional foreign nationals prepare for interviews. Currently I spend much of my time as an administrator for a collection of 7 churches in rural North Norfolk.As an engineer at heart, I always seek to identify and solve problems by asking both the difficult and obvious questions. Using Process Improvement methods such as the Toyota Business System (methodical systems to examine, understand and then refine processes and procedures) I aim to add value for not only the customer, the company but the team as well. Working with both local and remote teams, I enjoy understanding individuals and helping them to both see and reach their potential. I first realised the power of computers back in the early '70s when my school maths teacher wrote a program to calculate square numbers on the board. It turned a light on in my head that has never extinguished. From small electronics companies to multi-billion-dollar corporates, my journey in solving problems continues.Having spent many years in a corporate environment, I discovered the importance of freedom and decided to embark on helping others to find theirs.
