I’m a product leader and CPA with 15 years of experience that has envisioned, designed, and delivered multiple products. I can also manage cloud environments, migrate databases, and automate deployment of containerized applications because I’m willing and able to learn the skills needed to move solutions forward. Plus, it’s fun to learn cool things. I studied accounting for the advertised job placement rates, it was safe. I pivoted to pursue my long-held passion for technology and remain thankful for the springboard auditing provided. The zero to one products I’ve built and scaled throughout my career didn’t get there overnight and neither did I. Here are some things I’ve learned from my professional and personal journey so far: I deliver impactful products by prioritizing empathy. Empathy for the user, stakeholder, team, and society. I am quiet because I listen. It builds empathy and helps me identify and understand problems, so I can solve them. I am not afraid of using questions to learn more, influence thought, and drive consensus.I am able to align and inspire world-class teams around a product vision.I may not always get it right and sometimes I forget my water upstairs, but I always learn. I am able to find distinction among decisions that should be made meticulously and those where timing is key. I pursue efficiency relentlessly to free up energy for what matters. I am passionate about improving the experience of others through my work and direct interactions. The work we do is important but I’m more appreciative of the people I’ve met along the way.
