As an Accounting Analyst at Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba, I apply my skills and knowledge in Excel, AI, and accounting to support the financial operations and reporting of the organization. I have over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, and I am currently pursuing the CPA designation to further enhance my professional development and credentials.I enjoy taking on new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow, both as an individual and as part of a team. I take pride in delivering high quality work while also helping others to do the same. I have a passion for productivity hacks and making use of all that I can out of our Office programs. I'm that guy in the office that people ask for help when their pivot table isn't working properly, or they want help automating a process.I get a lot of enjoyment out of helping others learn the tools that can help them optimize their workflows as well. I have hosted monthly "Tech Talks" with my coworkers where we shared new tricks we've recently learned and discussed possible solutions to find new efficiencies in our work. I have also hosted a workshop for accounting directors from MCCs across Canada overviewing the history of AI development and showcasing some current and future tools that can help speed up accounting related tasks.
