Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) as part of the Energy Strong Program, identified specific Gas Measuring and Regulating Stations and Gas Plant facilities that were impacted by Super Storm Sandy; and targeted them for implementation of flood mitigation measures to minimize future disruptions of natural gas service to their customers. The project is to raise flood susceptible facilities and equipment at least one foot above FEMA’s one hundred year flood elevation. My responsibilities include project management, financial cost management, construction oversight, and operational implementation.

I managed and directed the work activities, budgeting and forecasting for the mandated (Regulatory) gas leakage surveys, damage prevention (locate and public awareness plans) and inspection activities (valve, district regulator, meter set), corrosion control, and gas transmission activities across Gas Delivery, and the facility markout activities for both Gas and Electric Delivery. The group was comprised of 30 management associates and 170 union personnel. I have held leadership position on industry associations including American Gas Association, the Northeast Gas Association, and the NJ Common Ground Alliance.

As part of the Energy Strong program, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) identified specific Gas Measuring and Regulating Stations and Gas Plant facilities that were impacted by Super Storm Sandy; and have been targeted for implementation of flood mitigation measures. This project will implement flood mitigation for the eight stations that had water intrusion in Superstorm Sandy. The stations will be raised to the higher of one foot above the FEMA flood elevation level or one foot above the highest observed flood levels and constructed in accordance with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (“NJDEP”) Flood Hazard rules. Lead the Damage Prevention Critical Few team in 2006, with published results that achieved significant reductions in damages.
