Develop and implement case management services including assessing the needs of individual workers and the extent of WCB’s responsibility in each case. Specialized Adjudication manages all psychological injuries including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder either from single traumatic event or cumulative events, and concussion claims with a time loss of greater than two weeks. Case Managers are responsible for exercising leadership responsibility in the development of a detailed and goal-oriented return-to-work plan for each worker; liaising with involved parties to ensure access to appropriate medical and vocational rehabilitation services; documenting reasoned decisions; providing complete assessments of the injured worker’s financial status and application of rate setting mechanism; and, approving and authorizing services and benefits for injured workers on an on-going basis.

A supervisory position, assisting in the planning, organizing, coordinating and directing of all fire suppression, emergency and non-emergency services. In addition to responding to emergencies and the supervision and safety of assigned personnel, the lieutenants position assists in training and development of personnel, ensuring fire prevention and public education programs, reviews written orders, directives, operational guidelines and policies with volunteer personnel, and provides exemplary customer service to the citizens of Halifax Regional Municipality

Initially brought into the company as a full-time employee and having since transitioned to a part-time/casual employee, as a member of Grandview’s team, I assist in the day-to-day operations of the organization and play an important leadership role with both employees and clients. Responsible for Human Resource matters relating to Disability Case Management and Attendance Management. Primary point of contact for employees, managers, union representatives and HR personnel for the delivery of disability management services within Halifax Regional Police and operates as part of a team within HRP, including health and wellness practitioners. Exercising independent judgement and initiative in determining and recommending courses of action when dealing with disability case management services including obtaining medical assistance and benefits, return to work planning, coordination with internal and external stakeholders in case management, arranging for appropriate assessments, workplace modifications and other related services.

Processes investor capital transaction requests and ensuring that these are in compliance with the relevant legislation, agreements and charters. Supporting the organization’s anti-money laundering (AML) framework. Processing of wire payments and account transfer transactions through various banking platforms to settle redemptions, payment of client invoices and/or of fees. As an AMCS Case Manager, my role is to develop, monitor and implement innovative case management services focusing on reducing the duration of policyholders' employee work absences. I identify and resolve disability and workplace issues by managing medical/non-medical and complex cases using a goal-oriented plan. The position contributes to the overall profitability of Group Disability by facilitating a more timely return to work for the policyholder's employees. The position is front-line client facing and requires accountability for delivering superior client services and effective communication to employees and employers throughout the life of the referral. This role is very much geared work towards health, productivity and financial outcomes for the plan sponsor and its employees.

As an intake Case Manager with AMCS, my role was to triage all incoming disability cases to determine complexity and managing all non-complex cases to resolution. This role also provided task-specific support to the team of AMCS Case Managers.
