Originally took this contract to support the release of electrical hardware drawings for the VC-25B program (similar to many of my other experiences), but the opportunity came up almost immediately to travel to San Antonio and fulfill an emergent need for shipside manufacturing/planning support. From the months of January to early May, my responsibilities included:- Reviewing work packages and providing build plan input to cross-functional teams- Leveraging my design background to speed up communication between mechanics and liason engineers- Troubleshooting engineering/planning issues and providing solutions that minimize work stoppage- Implementing a pilot program to improve first time quality and reduce non-conformance on bracket hole drilling operations (zones of the build that we covered more than doubled their weekly job sells versus unsupported zones).

Program: V-22 Osprey- Performed strength/fatigue analysis on V-22 structures using in-house tools to verify requirements and specification compliance- Created free-body diagrams and idealized representations of irregular structures- Successfully integrated the latest methods into new revisions of repair manuals.

Providing engineering services on a variety of stress and design programs within the Boeing PDC in Ridley Park, PA.F-18 Block III Updates (Design), 2018 - 2020Remotely supported St. Louis team to push design releases into workflow across multiple design directives; incorporated modern parametric modeling standards into 20+ year old drawingsCST-100 Starliner (Design), 2015 - 2018Designed and released a wide variety of shims, joints, brackets, and structures through the craft under a lead designer; hosted design review meetings to efficiently coordinate input from manufacturing and strength inputs; developed presentations for delivery to a change review board; conducted an audit of 1200+ open change requests to determine priority and readiness levels.777X Moveable Leading Edge (Stress), 2016 - 2017Investigated CASTLE and analysis servers for relevant methods to support SOW; created a comprehensive set of functional strength checks for seals throughout the MLE of 777-X configuration; developed a vibration analysis for fatigue capabilities of flex skirt seals under the direction of my lead; provided input for designers of slat-to-slat tolerance study, which lead to 777-X wing testing successfully at limit loads with zero interference.
