• Prepare customer schedules using a customized LoadBoard proprietary language. Monitor and account for paper arrival for current and future jobs.• Coordinate many different customer schedules and rapidly adjust to last-minute customer requests, changing priorities, equipment limitations, and delivery dates.• Produce, distribute, and communicate weekly and long-range press schedules.• Review new work and confirm equipment compatibility and capacity time.• Continuously monitor workflow through all departments. Monitor inventory flow between pressroom and bindery, tracking press paper waste and bindery waste. • Prepare the bindery / finishing job schedule and ensure the bindery has job-specific stock prior to production run.• Review Customer Service provided information (print order and bindery break-up) for accuracy prior to press and bindery production. • Work with spreadsheet applications, e-mail, LoadBoard and other applications for scheduling and communications.• Track printed inventory during the bindery job-run for shortages or overrun materials using the work in process tracking. • Work closely with Customers, Customer Service Representatives, Shipping and Postal Staff to provide technical and administrative support.• Built multiple databases that were used for prepress order entry and cataloging causes of plate remakes.I began my career here as a customer service account representative learning the many pieces that go into completing a complicated printing job order and later moved into a technical production position in the Pre-Media department.
