Projects resulted in a cost-savings of $3 million per year by insourcing applications currently managed outside GM.• Led department’s first development effort using Microsoft Azure. Deploying a Greenfield two-tier web application with an Angular UI, Java 11 API layer and PostgreSQL database concentrated on GM’s investment performance in dealerships nationwide. • Data Architect for GM’s Ultimate Scorecard used to compare dealerships on non-financial performance KPIs. The data ingestion pattern consisted of using PySpark to populate the GM Hadoop data lake and then sending to Greenplum MPP database for consumption via Microsoft Power BI.• Development lead for application that analyzes Dealer’s general ledger (GL) data to find competitive advantages via top-performing stores. Technologies include Microsoft Azure, PostgreSQL database, Azure Application Servers and Azure Databricks.• Collaborated with Data Engineering team to integrate Azure PostgeSQL databases into GM’s Azure Data Lake and onto Azure Databricks to identify efficient and value-driven solutions. • Worked together with Enterprise Data Architects on master data management (MDM) topics including data quality, accuracy and data governance.• Implemented physical/logical data models for multiple data stores (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, and Greenplum) and created data objects with improved query performance.• Directed weekly architectural team meeting to ensure data modeling standards and preferred data ingestion patterns were being used by all development teams.• Mentored 3 junior members of GM IT staff, regularly meeting to discuss topics including career development and to answer technical questions.

• Data Architect for Global Sales, Marketing, & Communication organization tasked with all data-related initiatives for Dealer Data Share (DDS) team. This system processed dealer data from over 12,000 global GM dealerships via batch and real-time data feeds using XML, JSON, Oracle 19c and Apache Kafka technologies.• Designed and deployed Oracle 19c database for Dealer Digital Command Center application. This global GM system allows dealers to manage their online presence real-time including pricing, incentives and vehicle images. Wrote PL/SQL packages, stored procedures and triggers.• Created DDS’s ODS and EDW reporting solution using Power BI, Hadoop and Greenplum technologies. This solution provides a consolidated data resource for all North American dealer reporting.• Led successful redesign of Brazil BI Oracle 12c reporting solution. This included gathering requirements from business, developing logical/physical data models, and delegating development tasks to staff.• Senior resource regarding Oracle performance tuning and database development. Devised resource materials and presentation to transfer knowledge to other GM staff regarding these topics.
