Advised twenty National Science Foundation Students to assist in ongoing grant funded research for the computer science department at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.This research used data mining and machine learning techniques to develop a smart phone app to automatically detect if an elderly person had fallen. The purpose of the app was to detect if a fall had occurred and automatically call/alert someone (911, family) even if they were unable to do so themselves.
Created effective and engaging online activities to assist high-school teachers and students in learning and studying multiple curriculum.Played a continual leadership role by networking with teachers and graphic design artists to generate interactive course content and graphics.Established statewide professional development applications to assist teachers with understanding their yearly Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System scores.Promote the e4TN program by presenting at conferences across the state.
