Kevin Roberson, PE, Leed AP, CPESC is a civil engineer with over 20 years of experience. He is currently a Vice President and Shareholder at Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc. His current practice is focused on large-scale retail development projects. Kevin’s previous experience includes single-family residential development and large drainage modeling of ditch networks in south Florida. As project manager, Kevin provides a full range of land development consulting services for his clients, including due diligence, permitting, site planning, infrastructure planning and design, grading and drainage, team coordination, and construction bidding and administration. He has worked on projects throughout Colorado, Florida and California. Kevin is a leader in sustainable development. He has served as a consultant on Wal-Mart’s Nationwide Sustainable Materials Committee. He has previously been the Mountain and California Regions representative for Kimley Horn’s firm wide sustainable committee. Through Wal-Mart’s Sustainable Materials Committee, Kevin has been involved with projects throughout the country working on sustainable project initiatives including: evaluating 110 sites in the SE United States for rainwater harvesting opportunities during the drought of 2007, developing a national pervious concrete specification, serving as a peer review for nationwide pervious pavement projects and project specific rainwater harvesting solutions. Kevin has presented to the American Concrete Institute on the use of pervious concrete in northern applications. Additionally, he has presented to the Colorado Association of Flood Plain Managers regarding the use of porous pavements and bioswales.
