Key Responsibilities- Planning workload for manufacturing in 4 departments- Formulating both short and long-term production plans to ensure that targets are achieved.- Liaising internally with production colleagues, material planners, sales coordinators, and the customer (if required).- Co-ordination of activities with related departments to ensure the smooth introduction of all new products.- Daily duties involve checking and monitoring of production achievement.- Attendance of morning production meetings and contribution as required.- Management of all related finished goods stocks policies.

To plan production work to agreed protocols within Oracle and provide support and guidance for the shop floor Supervisors in completing work to plan, at agreed cost and timeliness. The Planner is responsible for reviewing the Master Schedule with the Supervisor to determine the most efficient and effective workflow plan to achieve the scheduled project milestones.The Planner will be responsible for identifying potential material shortages for each and every project, together with any associated expediting with the relevant Supervisor.The Planner will be responsible for releasing Supply Chain requirements from Oracle workbench and ensuring kitting of that material is made at the appropriate time.The Planner is responsible for ensuring minimal inventory levels for their designated manufacturing units.To provide accurate data to support the Efficiency Improvements & Margin Erosion objectives. To provide data to maintain and upgrade the UBQS as necessary.Liaise with Despatch at the appropriate time to effect delivery of the completed equipment.

Divisional leader for the manufacturing/planning functions within the company's new ERP system (Oracle R12). This is a company wide implementation.
