An engaging hockey historian with outstanding experience and a broad network. I am an author with 21 best-selling hockey books and serve as the Editorial and Education Facilitator with the Hockey Hall of Fame while teaching a hockey course at Seneca College and team-building program for Indigenous students in Canada’s remote north. Freelance writing has included the National Hockey League, Toronto Star, The Walrus and many others. I was one of the principals in Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer, which during my ten-year involvement, raised $28 million for cancer research. A member of the Society for International Hockey Research (SIHR), I was awarded the organization’s Brian McFarlane Award for “excellence in hockey research and writing” and the President’s Award for “outstanding contributions in advancing hockey research.”

One of the inaugural employees of Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer, I served as master of ceremonies, recruited all of the celebrities and in the process, helped raised $30 million for cancer research. Since 2003, I have also conducted a credit course in hockey history at Seneca College and a leadership course using hockey as a platform for Indigenous students in Canada's remote north. I have also authored 20 best-selling hockey books, the most recent being 'Voices in Blue and White: Pride and Passion for the Maple Leafs. -

Beginning in 2018, I have developed and facilitated the Larry and Judy Tanenbaum Family Legends of Hockey Scholars Fund.
