I led a team of IT Professionals and IBM contractors in implementing a ruggedized Panasonic Tough-Pad with custom android software utilizing Amazon’s web services (AWS). The scope of the project was to develop two custom Android applications. The first application “mRent,” concentrated on the rental process, upsell, vehicle condition, and assignment. The second application “mPrint,” focused on the printing process at the exit booth. Both applications made JSON calls through AWS to EHI host services through a custom orchestration layer. These products were coined a “game changer” for the Enterprise brand. In the first year, there was a 15% decrease in cost adjustments due to improved clear and transparent real-time fees/charges with renter approval on tablet. There was a 3:00 minute per transaction decrease which resulted in several hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings on throughput. Due to our ability to retire our legacy dot-matrix printers and triplicate forms, we saved close to 80% of our archiving cost and allowed the branch to have immediate access to the vehicles condition upon the customers return.Other Responsibilities:- Worked closely with the business team to determine what the immediate priorities were as well as setting deployment dates and feature releases.- Acted as business contact for all problem escalations which included managing triage bridge calls when any of the applications experienced service outages. - Used Splunk and Crittercism tools to extract data to build custom reports for the business team,troubleshoot problems, and triage issues.- Managed software pushes via mobile device manager (MDM)

I led a team of IT Professionals and IBM contractors in implementing a new and improved touch screen kiosk system including designing new hardware and building custom software. The goal was to enable EHI rental customers (Alamo, National, and Enterprise) to bypass the main rental counter when initiating the rental process. With fraud and security being a primary focus we introduced several major security enhancements to the new kiosks, including credit card encryption devices and a verification process whereby a driver’s license must be swiped to verify the customer’s identity. The user experience of the Kiosk was so inviting, it increased revenue by selling rental upgrades, protection products, prepaid fuel, and other special equipment while improving overall customer satisfaction.This effort was part of a nationwide upgrade of existing self-service kiosks for the company’s Alamo and National brands and introducing the kiosks to the flagship brand Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The business driver was to streamline the customer experience in an increasingly competitive market, nationally and globally.

I led several teams working on our B2B and B2C reservation channels for the Enterprise Holdings car rental brands: National, Alamo and Enterprise. I managed the careers of managers, software engineers, and business analysts. Strategized with product managers on growth for our products and tools, and improved interdependence between our brands' systems. I led a team that introduced the Hybrid fleet into our booking channels and completed a project that allowed the business to auto adjust the rates of each rental branch by length of rental and time of day.
