As the Supply Chain Assistant at Planet Labs I support the logistics and procurements workflow for Planets spacecraft manufacturing. I work in a team and independently to manage inventory stocks, update inventory management systems, track reagent lots, ship & receive goods, & improve product turnaround-time by implementing innovative logistics practices.My main responsibilities at Planet include: Receiving all Incoming Materials & Monitor inventory stocksCreate BINS & Stock supply shelvesPack/Ship/receive/distribute goodsTrack shipments & communicateManage inventory systems & perform periodic cycle countImplement & perform quality control measuresProcess returns to vendors (RMAs)Communicate effectively with supervisors & colleagues

• Work alongside the Vice President to arrange shipping and distribution of frozen food across the country and other food related items.• Manage the storage of production facilities in the east and west coast to ensure inventory levels are up to date with the implementation of FIFO practices.• Ensure shipment delivery and returns by tracking and communicating with buyers, co-packers, and third party freight companies. • Maximize cost efficiencies in different ways from prioritize ground shipments to minimize productions surplus.

• Trace and track customer freight, provide quotes, take pick-up requests, route and book freight as needed.• Notify customers of any delays in shipping and dispatching points.• Maintain contact with airlines, trucking companies and agents handling freight.• Provide proof of delivery.• Enter shipment data in system.• Run, maintain, and file reports.
