My pre-games time role was to facilitate and coordinate land use approvals between multiple sections of the GOLDOC Corporation and the City of Gold Coast Council. The land use approvals provided the foundations for the requirements imposed on GOLDOC by the Council on the use of all Council Land throughout the Games. Land use approvals encompassed Festival areas, Broadcast positions, Telecommunications areas, Parking and Loading zones and Training facilities.During the Games, my role was to support all on ground functional areas, specifically on the movement of ingressing and egressing spectators and ensuring all on ground infrastructure was correctly located and functioning as planned. Throughout the Games I was located within Festival Zones and at Road Race events, working closely with City, Transport and other GOLDOC sections to ensure a smooth and incident free Games. Show less
