As the HR and Safety Director of three companies, I am responsible for managing all issues associated with safety and HR among the organizations, such as: hiring, discipline and termination oversight, personnel matters, which identify areas that impact a person’s work environment, to seeking appropriate assistance for training within their area of work. I am responsible for remaining compliant among OSHA and MSHA standards and updating our policies to reflect those standards as well as any other regulatory mandates and programs associated with our business. I handle all recruiting and retention efforts and I am the main point of contact for governmental programs and other safety audit programs. I am responsible for managing the insurance policies on our company’s vehicles and during a recent evaluation eliminated unnecessary policies which saved the company $31,000.

Responsibilities include production planning, warehousing,facilities, transportation, operations management, as well as responsible for facilities, truck and trailer maintenance. purchasing, customer service and finance. Additional responsibilities involve direct staffing,team building, training, and conducting performance evaluations, safety meetings, capital expenditures and regulatory compliance to name a few.

o Conducting daily warehouse operations, Including but not limited to shipping, receiving, cycle counting, procurement of outside transportation needs, dispatching drivers, data entry, just to name a few.o I also have evaluated our transportation needs for in-house drivers and equipment. Upon finalizing my evaluation I eliminated unnecessary costs and saved the company over $55,000 a year.o I have assisted with the set up of our new warehouse.o I am also have planned the layout of the warehouse, as well as evaluated quotes for outside transportation to help with the relocation to our new facility.o In addition, I also compile information for spreadsheets, evaluate procedures and practices to streamline the warehouse and driving staff

o I supervised warehousing, storage, and distribution functions including staffing, training, problem solving, customer relations and operations management.I was responsible for the timely shipping and receiving of material by lift truck, hand dolly, pallet jacks, and the assessment of any documentation. o I achieved shipping goals of outside vendors for warehousing and storage companies used by this company to increase repeat business. I improved accuracy of orders picked and shipped by labeling items with correct SKU numbers, thus increasing business the following year from that vendor. o I uncovered and solved shipping problems for a wholesale materials company we dealt with to manage customer complaints by researching the problem and identifying mislabeled freight. After fixing the issue, we eliminated future mistakes.
