• Energy lead in the Partnership for Development in Eastern Congo (P-DEC) program (Grant Funding: USAID). Lead in identifying targeted, high-impact interventions to strengthen rural enterprises, and support green economic development, and peace-building by assessing where the program can most add value in on- and off-farm activities and in and through the energy sector in North Kivu and Ituri provinces. • Lead and/or coordinate specific components of existing E4I programs about community engagement, SME or micro-enterprise outreach, and capital access.• Work closely with the in-house monitoring and evaluation (M&E) team to ensure expected results for advisory activities are measured and evaluated. • Coordinate with diverse Mercy Corps country teams to agree on a defined scope of work for energy sector assessments within the organization's multi-sectoral projects.• Report to the senior management team on advisory activities, work closely with in-house program teams on strategies to implement donor mandates, and routinely carry out program management activities, including internal and external reporting.

• Design and implementation of four energy streams identified through an initial assessment i.e. solar home systems, improved cookstoves, mini-grids, and agri-business energy solutions (productive use of energy) in North Kivu and Ituri provinces.• Lead the development and structuring of private partnerships required for the implementation of the identified energy pillars, including the structuring of Expressions of Interest for potential partners, supporting in the selection, and working with selected partners in developing sustainable business models.

Assessing and mapping energy resource potential, establishing current status of energy use, analysing current and projected energy demand in the County. Proposing energy development interventions that drive economic development.• Project engineer in evaluating a Community-Based Green Energy Project in Isiolo, Kitui and Kajiado county in Kenya by assessing the relevance, efficiency and effectiveness of the solar systems installed in social institutions.• Designing off-grid energy and mobile access strategy for northern Kenya. Conducted research on off-grid energy markets, providing limited due diligence on potential implementation partners and developing an energy access narrative. • Supporting the design, development and execution of EED's commercial interests such as design of smart public lighting solution based on solar and lithium ion batteries and alternatives to kerosene based lighting for fisher folk along Lake Victoria.• Researcher of National Appropriate Mitigation Action proposal that is developing a baseline assessment of energy access in Kenya.

• Offered solar floodlights to provide ample outdoor lighting in eco-lodges, residential homes, farms, mining sites and schools. This was done in Nairobi, Machakos, Kiambu, Narok, and Kakamega Counties in Kenya.• Successfully applied and incubated at the Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC) where the company was offered business advisory support. The support included business and technical expertise and mentorship to equip the company with skills and knowledge needed to turn appropriate technologies into viable businesses. • Offered technical support to the company through design, installation, and maintenance of solar equipment.• Business development research to bring on board new clients and led the company’s successful application and participation in the 2013 Nairobi Youth Trade Fair.• Maintained account books for proper planning and budgets.
