Rural and Remote GP and Emergency Department locum for Australasia and Pacific. 25+ years of GP experience. New Zealand trained, dual NZ and Australian Citizen . Currently based in NSW, Australia. Previous experience in both Urban and Rural, NZ and Australian, and most recently, remote locums including small country hospitals. Recent GP / Emergency Department experience in Eastern and North Western NSW, Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia.Also recent experience in Remote island locations, including King Island ( TAS) , Norfolk Island (Au external territory) , and most recently Pitcairn Island ( Remote UK overseas territory in Eastern Pacific) Current REST course, ALS2 and APLS qualified. Diploma in Paediatrics. Gp registrar supervisorFellowship with FRNZCGP, FRACGP , additional rural FARGP and FACRRM, and most recently FRACGP-RG.My wife and business partner, Dr Michelle Bonnici is a rural and remote GP also. She has identical Australasian Fellowship qualifications having previously trained in South Africa and NZ. She has an interest and extensive experience in Woman’s health. She was awarded a Masters degree in this discipline from the University of NSW. She also has experience in GP management / systems / practice Audits, with a recent role as a small remote hospital Medical Superintendent dealing with the COVID 19 pandemic. She has research training from Canada and was previously a honorary lecturer at The University of Auckland. We both love working in remote communities and are very comfortable in the unique challenges that occur in delivering healthcare in that environment. Together we have a useful complementary skill mix to deliver comprehensive medical care to those small communities .
