I am a passionate and driven technologist looking to improve the world by developing one-of-a-kind technologies at the intersection of research and development, software and hardware, customers' needs and engineered solutions. In my academic and industrial career I have made contributions to the scientific domains of machine learning, robotics SLAM and perception, and to the application domains of bio-signal processing (Fitbit), consumer robotics (iRobot), industrial robotics (OMRON), autonomous vehicles (Embark), and others as a part of Think Circuits.I thrive in dynamic environments with uncertain and unstructured problems to be solved. Using the principles of Machine Learning as a starting point, I have applied techniques across domains (e.g. digital communications applied to mechanical engineering) and overcome obstacles by seeing things from a unique perspective.Understanding my work fits within a broader set of company goals and values, I have worked in tandem with other disciplines including product, marketing, and legal to ensure the best outcome for the customer and the business. I lead small teams of engineers to accomplish larger technical goals than any one of us can accomplish on our own.

OwnerEducational Circuits Llc Oct 2021 - PresentI began this company as an homage to my experience in first getting started with computers and electronics in grade school. In this company, I develop, market, and sell educational circuit kit products on my own eCommerce site and Tindie. Starting in 2022 I began to offer consulting services to assist startups in discovery stage with research, feasibility studies and prototyping circuits, firmware, signal processing and ML. I have worked directly with CEOs and founders of a wide variety of companies spanning consumer electronics, wearables, bio-electronics, vehicle maintenance, autonomous vehicles, and more. I was also contracted for 6 months to design and teach a curriculum regarding embedded circuits and FW development to a group of Ph.D. and masters students in an industry research setting. -
