Drive engineering efforts for USSOCOM to include AFSOC, USASOC, NAVSOC and MARSOC, the Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and other units that draw services from USSOCOM networks world-wide. Maintain compliance with all information assurance (IA) policies and protocol. Assisted in the management of building a new core data center to include the renovating the power distribution system to a Starline Busway as well as the installation of Chatsworth equipment cabinets. Assisted with the tracking of the procurement, and scheduling installation of all equipment to include Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) as the computing and storage platform for the datacenter. Responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordination of Enterprise IT services installation. Also responsible for tracking the submission and approval of the sites Risk Management Framework (RMF) package to receive both the local Authority To Operate (ATO) and the DISA provided Authority To Connect (ATC).

This project involves two phases 1. Implementation of Riverbed Steelhead network accelerators to improve WAN utilization and lessen the impact to remote users. 2. +Developed TCSC Network Switch Lifecycle Plan aligned to organizational goals of modernizing the networks with devices that will be able to maintain a high degree of availability, as well as meeting today and tomorrows IA requirements. +Proposed and engineered a Proof of Concept (POC) program for the implementation of technology that allows for optimizing our circuits as well as projecting virtual servers to remote locations while maintaining the users data in a secure, centralized data center. This POC is a lead-in project for the implementation a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure across a Wide Area Network. +Developed an engineering plan to migrate all of TCSCs remote sites to a logical architecture more in alignment with DoD IA guidelines and industry best practices. The re-architecting included the following: -Moving the sites from a single “flat” VLAN logical architecture to a multi-VLAN architecture in accordance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides -Replacing the sites public IP addressing with private IP addressing to both conserve publicly routable IPs as well as to help consolidate and make more efficient the TCSC routing tables -Implemented the use of DHCP for more efficient IP Address Management (IPAM)+Developed engineering concept and the implementation for the implementation of a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment in support of thirty plus users.
