+ Responsible for the overall security posture of the network backbone to include keeping network device operating systems compliant with vendor and industry security alerts, patches and best practices.+ Responsible for the project management of new technology implementations based on customer requirements, to include timelines, budget, team coordination, documentation and hand-over to network operations teams.+ Provide subject matter expertise on secure network practices and protocols to fine-tune Headquarters, US Southern Command's Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems.+ Responsible for the enforcement and adjudication of Headquarters, US Southern Command's networks in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide(s) (STIGs) guidelines in direct correlation with DoD IA policy (DoD 8500), to include Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Vulnerability Management System (VMS) and JTF-GNO mandates.+ Organize and perform internal security readiness reviews of all networking devices and support systems utilizing DISA Security Readiness Review (SRR) checklists, scripts, Retina scans and access control validation.+ Responsible for managing daily workflow, projects, mentoring, and developing performance plans and appraisals for the network team.+ Plan, engineer and maintain the management of the Theater IP address scope (Class B) and Domain Naming structure. + Develop proposals, quotes, configuration and installation for new network related projects and End-of-Life equipment/systems replacement projects
