Development of an advanced CO2 monitoring system specifically designed for the purification process of mollases solution. The system utilizes an MQ-135 sensor, which has been precisely calibrated with the CozIR GC-006 sensor to ensure accurate readings and measurement range. The monitoring data gathered by the sensor is transmitted and displayed through the ThingSpeak IoT platform, allowing for real-time data visualization and analysis. The project includes several critical testing phases to ensure the system's reliability and effectiveness. First, communication testing is conducted with TIPHON standards to obtain RSSI values, delay time, and packet loss, ensuring robust and efficient data transmission. Next, sensor testing and calibration is carried out to determine the accuracy and sensitivity of the MQ-135 sensor, verifying that it can reliably detect CO2 concentrations. Calibration is conducted by simultaneously comparing the readings of the MQ-135 sensor with those of the CozIR sensor, ensuring both sensors are in the same location and operating concurrently within the carbonation tank. Finally, monitoring testing is performed to evaluate the overall performance of the system, ensuring it meets the necessary standards for operational use. This comprehensive approach not only ensures precise and reliable monitoring of CO2 levels during the mollases purification process but also provides valuable insights into the system’s efficiency. By leveraging the capabilities of the ThingSpeak platform, operators can continuously monitor CO2 concentrations, maintain optimal processing conditions, and quickly address any deviations. This system is crucial for enhancing the quality of the sugar production process at PG. Kebonagung in Malang City.
