Having worked in industry for over a decade I understand the commercial, as well as the legal, issues that my clients face. This, along with an entrepreneurial mindset, allows me to see the bigger picture and implement the pragmatic and focused advice that clients should expect from their legal advisers.My practice is truly transatlantic in nature and I am admitted to practice law in the United Kingdom and California and in front of the European Patent Office and United States Patent and Trade Mark Office (trade marks). I am one of just a handful of individuals globally to possess the qualifications necessary to exercise such a broad range of practice rights.For my UK clients I provide specialist US advice directly and in their own time zone. This results in clearer and more focused advice at reduced cost. As an example, I can provide direct US trade mark filing and prosecution capability from within the UK. This is a service that only US admitted attorneys are permitted to provide. By providing this service directly there is just one set of fees and my clients work with me directly rather than through an intermediary.For my US clients I provide specialist UK and European IP and commercial advice directly during my regular trips out to the US. This provides a more joined up approach to client’s business critical matters in Europe and ensures that they retain a full oversight over how their matters are handled and a direct line of communication.
