I have 45 years' experience in town planning and the property development industry. Senior management positions include General Manager, Urban Development, Landcom and Director, Property Services Group. I have extensive and practical experience in managing a diverse range of projects, and am adept at market assessments, financial feasibilities, value management, due diligence and all aspects of delivery, disposal and evaluation on major projects. I also understand the NSW planning system and balancing its requirements with the delivery of financially sound outcomes. I have worked as Manager of the Planning Branch, Corporate of Surrey in Vancouver, Canada, which has given me a broader perspective on how planning can be practically implemented. Other strengths that I bring to a project are my strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking and political awareness. I also have a wide range of contacts within government and industry. I have lectured for over 10 years in master planned estates at UNSW reflecting my strong interest in creating place. I also have an interest and commitment to upskilling the property development industry as Academic Director and Coordinator of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) NSW professional development program. Due to my commitment to the UDIA, I was awarded Life Membership of the Institute in 2019.
