I am excited to announce my involvement in the Joint Venture between CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL (CBGU D&C JV), as the contracting for Fire Services and Life Safety Lead C&C for the Tunnel and Stations package of the Cross River Rail project. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9km of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD. Cross River Rail will unlock the bottleneck at the core of Brisbane’s transport network, allowing more trains to run more often and integrating with new roads and bus services allowing future network growth in the region. The project will increase public transport network services, their connectivity and encourage more people to use public transport, helping to ease congestion on major arterial roads.

- Fire safety strategies to comply with (Local) Building Regulations in order to achieve life/property safety requirements.- Fire safety strategies that follow a code compliant and/or performance based approach (Acceptable solutions (C/ASx), Verification methods (VM2) , Alternative solutions, NZ Fire Service-SNZ PAS 4509, New Zealand Building Code (NZBC).)- Fire safety management to support the operation of the buildings (commercial/ residential/ industrial).- Fire risk assessments for operational buildings to comply with H&S legislation.- Due diligence of buildings to support asset valuation.- Fire verification methods and Fire/Smoke/Evacuation modeling as an alternative solution to support the building consent documents by CFD (fire dynamic perspective) and zone modeling basis methods (FDS, FDS-Evac, Pathfinder, Pyrosim, Firewind, B-Risk, and Smokeview),- Perform on-site observation of construction.
