Reporting to the Managing Director, main responsibilities include -Acting as the appointed person under Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.  Provision of consistent, standardised reporting to the Board on H&S performance and other issues; and for the provision of suitable and sufficient communications to other stake holders and enforcing authorities. Day-to-day management of the H&S team, maintaining their motivation and training in order to achieve the necessary skill levels and experience required to operate to a high standard. Control of third party contractors to ensure compliance with Statutory health and safety requirements whilst providing 'best value for money' the client. Working closely with other areas of the business helping to develop and promote consistently high standards of service.  Maintain and where possible increase the earning potential of the company via diversification of services and expansion of the customer base. Development and maintenance the ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental and OHSAS 18001 H&S standards in order to retain certification. Taking a significant role in the implementation and achievement of the company's long term strategy.

Reporting to the operations and manufacturing director, main responsibilities included - Day-to day management of the Health & Safety, Maintenance and Quality personnel.  Management of third party contractors to ensure H&S compliance and best value for money. Budgetary control of day-to-day expenditure for the Health & Safety, Quality and Maintenance departments. Act as the responsible person under regulation 7 of the health & Safety at Work regulations 1999. First point of contact external stakeholders, industry bodies and enforcement authorities.  Production of KPI results for Manufacturing, Health & Safety and Quality Control.
