Elected on April 4, 2017. New Trier Township government serves the 56,000 residents in the Illinois villages of Wilmette, Kenilworth, Winnetka, and Glencoe, plus portions of Glenview and Northfield.The Township provides leadership, advocacy and resources to benefit the physical, mental and social well-being of Township residents. Among the basic functions are human services including the funding of social services and programs, and advocacy for property taxpayers.

Strategic technology responsibility for the school’s campuses in Chicago, London, Hong Kong and Singapore. Manage staff and consultants responsible for technology operations, application development, project and service management. Serve as a member of the IT Leadership Council, responsible for guiding IT strategy on campus. Coach and mentor student entrepreneurs with the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Lead efforts to improve IT Service Delivery and reduce risk across a decentralized campus. Lead and facilitate strategic planning with IT leaders across the organization to create a new vision for University IT service delivery using the “core,” “common,” and “unique” service delivery model. Lead efforts to identify and operationalize centers of excellence for IT service delivery across the campus.

Teach “Introduction to Ecommerce”; an overview of topics related to communicating and conducting business via the Internet. The course focuses on competitive strategies companies can use to develop successful ecommerce businesses. Students are taught how to develop and analyze strategies for marketing and advertising, customer service, usability, application design, and globalization.

Responsible for Technology Product Management for Tribune Company. Led a team responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: defining the product vision, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, creating the product roadmap and release schedules, and working closely with stakeholders to deliver products that help them achieve revenue and customer satisfaction goals.

Led Project Management for Tribune Company's 8 newspapers (e.g. Chicago Tribune, LA Times, Baltimore Sun), 23 television stations, and other businesses in publishing, broadcasting and interactive media.

Led a team of project managers responsible for managing projects for all areas of the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Responsible for developing and implementing improved project management processes for the PMO. Projects include replacement of core Advertising systems, upgrade of Editorial systems, and implementation of a nine newspaper consolidated Circulation system. Responsible for Quality Assurance, IT compliance and Business Continuity Planning.

Led a 40 person organization responsible for Quality Assurance and testing for all Technology, Finance, Actuarial, Human Resource, and Corporate Services initiatives. Responsible for developing and implementing a standard quality assurance methodology and processes. Created and led a team responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley IT Audit for 100+ applications and infrastructure platforms.

Developed and led the PMO Project Management Center of Excellence for CNA. Managed a team of ten project managers with a $20 million portfolio of strategic technology projects for CNA in the Information and Compliance business areas. Led a team responsible for planning and executing projects to improve business analysis and data warehouse management.

• Hired and led a 30 person organization responsible for Project Management, Business Analysis, Site Usability, and Quality Assurance for United.com. Developed the project management processes and methodologies used for all project delivery.• Managed strategic outsourcing relationships with vendors related to United.com. Renegotiated key vendor contracts that resulted in improved service levels at lower annual costs.• Led teams responsible for redesigning and rearchitecting united.com and 27 international ecommerce web sites. • Directed the development the ecommerce components of an integrated customer information database that enabled a consistent consumer experience across all customer channels.

Directed teams responsible for the strategy, planning and implementation of business and technology programs for five Bank One subsidiaries. Led strategic initiatives including the Bank One/First Chicago NBD systems merger and the implementation of SAP for all finance and accounting staff.

• Developed the overall Year 2000 business strategy and plan for Grainger and all subsidiaries. Directed business unit project managers responsible for seven domestic and international subsidiaries. • Responsible for all customer, vendor and supplier Year 2000 communications and public relations. • Created the corporate knowledge management strategy and developed the plan for a web-based enterprise information repository. Managed the design, development and implementation of Grainger's global intranet portal. • Led the technology infrastructure team that launched a new distribution subsidiary in Monterrey, Mexico.• Created a company-wide systems and network management strategy and architecture. Designed the systems software architecture for a client/server order entry and inventory control application to be used in all branch offices. Developed the implementation strategy and plan for deployment of the application to all branch offices.
