I worked in the administration side of mortgage arrears which dealt with all aspects of the customer journey once a customer entered a position of arrears. Responsibilities included customer support, dealing with third parties, and case ownership varying from low level arrears to support throughout the litigation and repossession process. Worked within the rigorous quality framework ensuring that there was no detriment to the customer from my actions. Ensured that I was compliant and up-to-date with all training, policies and procedures as well as documenting and improving internal debt collection processes and training manuals. Dealing with court hearings, solicitors and litigation professionals which grew exponentially due to the emergence of COVID which meant that my job was extremely busy and challenging, supporting many customers through furlough, job loss, redundancy, matrimonial disputes, illness and bereavement. Once a property was taken into possession, I dealt directly with our asset managers and solicitors to ensure that the correct steps were followed in securing the property, preparing the property for marketing and sale.
