Project/Design Engineer responsible for the timely execution of projects and support implementation from concept to initial product launch. Worked closely with R&D, marketing and sales during the product review phase.

Summer Infant BrandDesigned and developed new products for juvenile industry. The types of products included high chairs, booster seats, play yards and changers. For the past 2 years it was focused on licensed bath toys & tubs. Utilizing the use of solid modeling software to create, evaluate and prototype all aspects of the product development cycle.Project engineer for licensed play products working with both orient and domestic suppliers. Responsible for design, prototyping, quoting, vendor selection, schedules, approvals, tooling review, product review, packaging, shipping and client sign-off. As a project engineer I worked closely with designers, marketing, QA and packaging to make sure all aspects of the product were delivered on time and within budget.Was responsible for tracking up to 30 products at a time using software to track schedules.Traveled to Hong Kong and China to work closely with suppliers to make sure product was delivered on time.Worked closely with vendors to get the best pricing possible to work within the company margin structure.

Designed and developed new products for medical, toy, juvenile, consumer and retail companies, utilizing the use of solid modeling software to create, evaluate and prototype all aspects of the product development cycle. Acted as Project Engineer for many products for a major retailer. Responsible for design, prototyping, quoting, vendor selection, schedules, approvals, tooling review, product review, packaging, shipping and client signoff.

Used Pro/Engineer 2001 to model and document the next generation On-Board IS Cryopump system. Components consisted of sheet metal, machined, drawn and Injection molded parts.Participated in the redesign of existing CTI 9700A Compressor, which was released on time and under budget.Redesigned internal Cryopump components to make the assemblies symmetrical to reduce cost and eliminate the possibility for incorrect assembly.Implemented a Strategic Modeling Program for the new On-Board IS Cryopump. This uses Pro/Engineers Family Table functionality to allow for highly configurable assemblies and components.

Designed/Developed prototypes through production release for the following end-user consumer products: I-penâ, Cross Padâ, CyberPen, NetPen, for the Cross Pen Computing Group. And the Cross ION Expandable Writing Instrument which was patented in 2001.Extensive design of injection molded drawn and screw machine components for end-user products.Manage the transition of new product development from design to production stages.Responsible for moving new and existing product to a cost reduction/production phase.Project Leader for an Electronic based pen to be supplied to outside vendors (OEM).Extensive use of Pro-Engineer software Rev. 20(i.e. CADD software).Lead Designer for the Cross ION expandable writing instrument, patented in the year 2001. Patent #US 6,273,627 B1.

Prepared design layouts and design/detail of injection molded parts, sheet metal and machined components for the Polaroid Captiva Cameraâ.Work with the Continuing Engineering Group to improve existing instant cameras that were currently in the market place.Extensive use of Pro-Engineer and Cadra software during all aspects of the design.Conducted in-house CADRA training classes in which approximately 70 Employees participated in.Applied ANSI y14.5 standards to all mechanical drafting operations.
