Ontario Goat represents Ontario’s meat, milk and fibre sectors, is dedicated to enhancing the goat industry through education, collaboration, innovation and strategic alliances.The GoGen project was a three year pilot project to increase the awareness of the breed evaluation services available to the producer, as well as increase the infrastructure of those services.I collaborated with the Board of Directors and staff in the extensive planning, creation and implementation of a variety of projects and strategies; tasks included the creation of a project plan, budget as well as provide project development updates, reports and articles. Continuous analysis of producer feedback was essential in providing member services to a broad population in order to achieve goals for the organization and its members.• Responsible for the day-to-day management of the GoGen Pilot Project• Initiated the plan for the developments/updates of the breed evaluations services offered to dairy goat producers• Designed, implemented and managed the Trans-Cervical (Non-Surgical) Embryo Project in goats• Designed, implemented and co-managed the Off-Season Artificial Insemination Project• Assisted in the development and implementation of an Ontario CAE prevalence study• Designed, implemented and co-managed the Meat Goat Management and Traceability Pilot Project• Performed in depth evaluations of the Ontario and Canadian dairy goat sectors• Responsible for communication with association’s services and programs to members and industry• Organized regional meetings, which included booking venues, selecting speakers, and moderating and giving presentations
