About Kevin Tsoupis
I have been in the welding industry since 1996 and in the petrochemical industry since 2008. In 1996 I started out as a welder welding utility trailers then began working for companies that built water tank trucks and pressure vessels in fabrication shops using SMAW, GMAW, & FCAW processes. I was a welder off-shore then eventually started working in machine shops where I began to use the GTAW process. In 2008 I started to work in the petrochemical industry in various plants. By 2011 I got my CWI and began to inspect for various companies as a contractor in plants. From 2012 to 2019 I was afforded the opportunity to take the role of a QC Supervisor and Manager off and on. In late 2019 I acquired my API 510 in 2019, my API 570 in 2020, and my API 653. In 2024. I became a certified commercial drone pilot in 2022. I am dedicated to safety and quality and am always looking for innovative ways that improve quality and expenditure and share new ideas with my team. I learned as a welder to take pride from start to finish and I have carried this practice over to the inspection arena. I believe that exercising pride will improve quality, minimize rework, and as a result, projects will be either executed on time or even ahead of schedule.
