Worked with a team of Year Here fellows for 8 weeks to develop an innovative strategy for a new grantmaking charity with a budget of £50k/year. The key output was a scoping paper outlining the strategy and operations of the new participatory grantmaking charity, which will give residents of Barking & Dagenham direct decision-making powers over the allocation of funds for community projects, maximising inclusiveness, community empowerment, responsiveness to needs and grantee collaboration.* Created scoping paper covering: theory of change, long-term vision, application criteria, decision-making process, funding mechanism, monitoring & evaluation, grantee support and plans for key events.* Designed and delivered workshops to assist trustees in deciding on key variables for the charity* Synthesised a wide variety of information to fit recommendations to insights, with sources including: interviews with experts and VCSE leaders, community consultation events, secondary research, etc.
