Bridges is committed to the long-term success of Baltimore City youth and to providing life-changing opportunities to Independent School students.

Create and execute the strategic plan for our health and wellness department, focusing mostly on our BeMore Athletic League and after school program opportunities. Our BeMore Athletic League currently serves 20 middle schools and over 1000+ student-athletes. We work closely with school partners and school communities to serve the needs of the community and consistently adapt to evolving school populations and staffing. The importance of youth athletics is often overlooked but we understand and advocate for youth to be active, on school teams and around caring, qualified adults.

Collaborate with a talented team of colleagues to expand positive outcomes for youth through well organized athletic access. Our athletic events, such as House leagues, the BeMore Athletic League and tournament/clinics, aim to provide enriching and inspiring experiences to encourage student-athletes to find their active-identity and place as a teammate.

Alongside a team of four coaches, I plan and execute practice, recruit new players, develop current players and tirelessly work toward our team goal of winning the Landmark Conference Championship. Specifically, I work very closely with our defense and goalies as well as provide nutrition information to our team. Player development in the physical and psychological realms are key parts of my role as Assistant Coach.

Community-based learning is a way for students to actively connect their academic work with direct experience in the community. By combining hands-on work in the community with the academic framework provided by course work across the curriculum, students gain a rich experience of social issues. Students learn about the workings of community, encounter differences related to race, class and privilege, gain a deeper understanding about social justice, and are able to do work that is beneficial to others. They also gain a greater understanding of themselves. Community-based learning emphasizes academic rigor, reflection, and developing ongoing community partnerships. All academic disciplines and divisions (humanities, social sciences, sciences and the arts) can integrate community-based learning practices.

The BeMore Athletic League provides quality, safe and positive interscholastic competition for over 500 middle grade students in Baltimore City. We collaborate with teachers, coaches and athletic directors to coordinate athletics for 15+ Baltimore City Schools. We aim to provide these opportunities at minimal cost while maximizing the benefits of a positive athletic experience to our student-athletes. This was a summer internship through the UMBC Sondheim NonProfit Leadership Fellowship.

Grow the game of lacrosse in East Austin through responsible community outreach in PE classes as well as extracurricular activities. Despite relocating to Balitmore, MD, I continue to support the program through practice planning and interaction with the current coaches and directors.newhorizonslacrosse.org

Atx Athletics was created to further the mission of community development through youth lacrosse in East Austin. We are a certified vendor through the Austin Independent School District providing 'lacrosse classes' as an extracurricular activity as well as the only youth lacrosse program in East Austin.Check out our blog at atxathletics.com and come out to a game to support us this season!

Collaborate with team of seven to effectively market and advise prospective study abroad students. Analyze effectiveness of outreach campaigns alongside marketing department and innovate our communication, all to progress of the Field of International Education.

Manage programs for students studying in Madrid, Salamanca, Bilbao and Santander, Spain. Process applications, follow up with students on submitting paperwork, communicate daily with the staff abroad regarding the student's program and any issues and collaborate with the ISA Spain team both Austin based and abroad to continually improve our programs.

Establish and maintain relationships with our National University Partners in NC, SC, and GA; interact with students at regional universities in the effort to promote international education and study abroad; responsible for making personal travel arrangements and maintaining accurate database records.

Coordinated daily trucking routes with team of two, dispatched truck drivers and grew new relationships with our shipping partners.

Four month volunteer teaching position in Arica, Chile through the program 'English Opens Doors' run by the Chilean Ministry of Education.
