This financial plan incorporates a client‘s current investments, liabilities, cash flow, income taxes, insurance coverage, objectives, goals and temperament.We have developed a comprehensive understanding of equity compensation (ISO, NQSO, RSU, QSBS, etc.) and help clients create tax efficient strategies for either liquidating or building large positions, if appropriate. Sophisticated tax planning is a critical component of proper equity compensation management, and our expertise incorporating income taxes and the stock under consideration (public or private) is invaluable. While we are highly skeptical of financial products - especially those manufactured by large financial institutions - we enjoy several relationships with boutique real estate, credit, venture capital and alternative investment managers. These firms work with us due to long standing relationships and shared investment philosophies. While these alternatives are generally a modest percentage of a client’s overall asset allocation, we’ve found them to be excellent diversifiers in low interest rate environments.
