My skill set is eclectic and unique, including expertise in computer software development, social science research, data governance, multivariate statistical analyses, and the design of both database pipelines and warehouse schemas. In my current role, I work to build data pipelines to facilitate the translation of research data into evidence that can lead to new clinical practices and medicines. In educational and criminal justice contexts, I have worked with state policy-makers, researchers, and local practitioners to improve a wide range of evidence-informed decision-making, ranging from more effective use of teacher evaluations to automating system to identify logic issues in student records to building a data infrastructure to increase knowledge and collaboration between prosecutors, the police, and courts. Through my prior career in large-scale bioinformatics, I have designed business intelligence database systems, implemented application frameworks using a polyglot of languages and interfaces, and set up cloud infrastructure for analysts and researchers.I seek work where I can effect impact at scale. I am mission driven and want to do good work that has wide ranging benefits. Given my skill set, that likely will be at a nexus between effectiveness research and the understanding of how people interact with new information, evidence, and data.
