In this Junior Military Officer program, I am rotating through and learning about each section of CHEP’s supply chain business, with a heavy focus on operations and plant management.

Provided leadership to 4 direct and 528 indirect reports in supporting management of all aspects of operations for Schools/Training section. Assisted Battalion Operations Officer in planning, coordination, and execution of operations. Managed training process and prepare briefs, documents, rosters, and other required documentation. Compiled, reviewed, and submitted After Action Reports for unit training. Retained file copies of all training related documentation, including Letters of Instruction, orders, risk management worksheets, and training plans. Utilized collaborative tools to receive, disseminate, and ensure completion of non-critical tasks. Accountable for conduct, morale, and well-being of enlisted Marines.

Managed 38 direct and 220 indirect reports while serving as chief of company's staff and platoon commander of company's headquarters platoon. Coordinated with staff billet holders to ensure efforts aligned with commander's goals. Oversaw execution of all administrative matters. Supervised and assisted company staff in planning, coordinating, and conducting company tactical operations and logistical requirements for major conventional exercises and field evolutions. Advised Company Commander on all pertinent matters.Served as Company Training Officer, accountable for overseeing planning and execution of all training including Military Occupation Specialty, gas chamber, range details, professional schools, and field training exercises. Ensured accountability and operational readiness of all ordnance, ammunition, equipment, and property. Documented and corrected all barracks discrepancies in timely manner

-Train and supervise platoon personnel in the performance of tasks which support Amphibious Assault (AA)Company training objectives.-Implement, execute, supervise, and evaluate required MOS and Marine Corps training forcrewmen, crew chiefs, and section leaders in offense, defense, MOOTW, COIN, and combinedarms operations.-Develop weekly training schedule based off the AA Company quarterly training plan.-Identify, supervise, and document 1st and 2d echelon maintenance in order to maintaincombat effectiveness of the AA Platoon.-Conduct and track monthly serialized and SL-3 inventories within the AA Platoon.-Enforce the Operational Risk Management Program.-Supervise administrative procedures within AA Platoon.-Provide guidance and mentorship to platoon leadership on counseling, leadership, anddevelopment of junior Marines.-Supervise medical and dental readiness of personnel within AA Platoon.

-Responsible for the combat leadership and tactical employment of the Assault AmphibianVehicle (AAV) Platoon.-Responsible for the oversight of preventative maintenance and corrective services(PMCS), maintenance, and logistical readiness of up to 14 AAVP7s and all associatedequipment in support of operations.-Train and prepare the Marines toward an increased level of technical and tacticalproficiency using the AAV Training and Readiness Manual as the measure of performance.-Responsible for the morale, safety, and welfare of Marines and sailors.-Ensure the platoon's good order and discipline at all times.-Prepare the AAV Platoon both mentally and physically for combat operations.-Mentor and develop subordinates in order to prepare them for promotion and increasedlevels of responsibility.-Advise supported commanders on AAV operations and provide staff estimates.-Serve as a special staff officer to the Ground Combat Element (GCE) as required.

Graduated Assault Amphibious Officer Course Class 1-19.The Assault Amphibian Officer Course (AAOC) is 77 days located at the Assault Amphibian School Battalion aboard MCB Camp Pendleton, CA. The purpose of the course is to provide the student the necessary skills to lead and manage an AAV platoon tactically and administratively. Students will learn the fundamentals of AAV operation on land and water, and also how to conduct direct fire gunnery. Through mastering fundamental concepts, they will then develop skills to maintain and account for their equipment, train their personnel, and employ an AAV platoon in combat. Students will have gained an understanding of the Assault Amphibian role during planning, embarkation, and execution of amphibious operations. Graduates of this course will be competent advisors to supported unit commanders conducting amphibious operations and/or mechanized operations ashore, while leading, equipping, and training their personnel and maintaining readiness of their assault amphibian unit.

Train and educate newly commissioned or appointed officers in the high standards of professional knowledge, esprit-de-corps, and leadership to prepare them for duty as company grade officers in the operating forces, with particular emphasis on the duties, responsibilities, and warfighting skills required of a rifle platoon commander.

The mission of Officer Candidate School is to train, evaluate, and screen officer candidates to ensure that they possess the moral, intellectual, and physical qualities for commissioning and the leadership potential to serve successfully as company-grade officers in the Operating Forces.
