I oversee the entire content production process from strategy, pitches and ideation all the way through post-production and content promotion for video, audio and social media content. This requires daily cross-functional work with our internal partners in marketing, social media, video production, PR, business development and compliance. The Multimedia vertical consists of team members across a mix of full/part-time and employee/contract workers, all working in a distributed remote setting to support our 130+ member Content Team.My position requires the creation and execution of a multi-platform content strategy including multiple content calendars, driving website traffic, management of department budgets, building out SOPs and internal playbooks, and use of data to drive future decisions based on key engagement and user stats.

As the vertical lead for the Travel and Content Video teams, I oversaw 25+ full-time and freelance editors/writers/video creators who provided digital financial content around personal finance, vacation planning, credit card rewards, and hotel and airline loyalty programs across a variety of platforms such as web, YouTube, social media and syndication partner sites. I was also the content team lead for all things video production working with producers from brand and marketing along with a pod of writers/on-camera talent to produce content for NerdWallet's YouTube and social media channels covering all verticals in our 130+ person editorial team.In addition to coaching/managing the verticals, I also worked cross functionally with our partners on PR, social media, syndication, podcasting and marketing to distribute our multimedia content.
