In this role I developed and directed the 28 person group with worldwide responsibility for; program revenue growth, new joint design win goals, product line alignment to Intel roadmaps, joint marketing and influence programs, and focused ecosystem strategy. The Intel Communications Alliance program is noted by the press to be one of the best ecosystem programs in the industry.___

___The director of operations role and responsibility was to manage the business operations and process of the 150 person platform programs group of Intel Corporation's Network Products Group. The group was responsible for leading the change needed in the internet and communciations industry. We created technology and market programs for carrier grade Linux and other operating systems; established the Modular Communications Platform initiatives which established the industry specifiction of PICMG 3.x standard, built the ecosystem programs, and grew the market development functions of the industry programs. Business operations role managed a $40M budget. ___

:: ::Strategic Planning & Marketing for the Communications, Internet, and Server Division responsible for forward-looking direction of technology and programs to advance the business. The new division was a 'start-up' within the Intel Server Group that was chartered with the creation of a new internet appliance market. The division created internet web server appliances, e-commerce appliances, web caching server appliances, network acceleration server appliances, and more. The server appliance market grew out of the need for simple 'plug & run' capability of the platform to Internet Service Providers. This division was one of the fastest growing businesses at Intel. ::

___I was honored to be able to instruct undergraduate and graduate level business students at the University of Portland in 2001 and 2002 as an adjunct professor. The undergraduate course was Marketing 200 - a practical course in fundamentals of marketing - looking at the 5 P's (Planning - Product - Price - Promotion - Placement). The graduate course was Corporate Entrepreneurship - a deep study in internal innovation as the essential energy of any company's new revenue streams. ___
