As this Interactive TV startup's first pre-sales engineer, helped define the early sales and product strategy. Successful IPO in 1999. Post-IPO, managed 10-person team that provided sales engineering support for cable/satellite network operator sales in the Americas, consistently exceeding sales quotas. Also responsible for technical operations for worldwide marketing events (trade shows, keynotes) and corporate visitor center. Managed a $1.2M capital equipment and operating expense budget.

Developed a business case and product strategy for Sybase’s entry into the emerging interactive TV (ITV) market. Managed business development and technical initiatives for Asian ITV opportunities. Instrumental in winning Sybase's largest ITV deal in Asia, unseating an entrenched competitor.

After Sybase acquired Gain Technology in Dec 1992, hired and managed 8 AEs who sold Gain's products.

Provided all initial pre- and post-sales technical support and training for this small startup's multimedia development products. Helped create a prototype that resulted in $3M additional investor funding and subsequent sale of the company to Sybase.
