Deploy and travel without notice and on command in direct support of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Install, configure and operate state of the art deployable communications command center consisting of automated data processing equipment, secure tactical satellite systems, radios and phones. Maintain detailed knowledge of and responsible for the supervision, configuration and management of Information Assurance (IA) boundary architecture devices and systems to include Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Load balancers, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Audit and Log Servers, Crypto devices, Defense Red Switch Network (DSRN), Voice-Over-IP (VOIP) and Video-Teleconferencing (VTC) unified communication (UC) services and Domain Names Servers (DNS) in direct support of the Chairman’s Fly Away Kit capability. Provide the CJCS access to secure and reliable communications with the President of United States, Secretary of Defense, senior executive and legislative government and DoD officials as well as foreign heads of state and dignitaries.

Oversaw 26-member team supporting CJCS communication requirements while on travel. Directed $4.2M fiscal year budget; prioritized purchases in accordance with DoD regulations. Maintained $1M communications facility directly supporting the CJCS with global command/control capability.

Manages over $3B in Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) enhancement and sustainment projects and future requirements definition. Recommended policy positions for Wing leadership on logistics/training/fielding for AWACS aircraft. Ensured Technical Orders provide accurate guidance on new/modified system maintenance procedures.
