Drove development of new applications and led a portfolio of projects to refactor existing code and / or create new features to existing core applications. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:+ Developed a strategy to update an EMR to handle multiple coding systems in order to comply with new coding regulations ahead of schedule while ensuring interoperability with 3rd-party systems that had not been updated.+ Designed and developed a document management system to replace an antiquated system, which increased efficiency ~300%, improved stability, and enabled the team to clear a 4-month backlog in just 1 month.+ Reduced the number of claims rejections due to invalid data to <10% and captured revenues associated with incorrectly rejected claims by fixing long-standing bugs and issues on an internal claims system.+ Introduced new features to the online Patient Portal, including online appointment scheduling directly integrated with the EMR and online patient records retrieval, to reduce administrative burden. + Provided a more secure single log on for internal applications by replacing multiple, individually managed systems with a new Open ID authentication system.+ Designed and began implementation of a new oAuth-based REST API to replace existing and shared code, allowing for less code duplication, easier maintenance, faster application development, and easier 3rd-party integrations.

Collaborated with the client and the Data Processing team to deliver the custom features on schedule.+ Oversaw a project to expand the company’s customizable Flash application, a challenging project that required integration with an internal legacy system and creative solutions to handle a third-party’s service limitations.+ Created – as Lead Developer – a new multi-threaded client / server email address verification system in C#, a revenue generating new service offering and critical component to a new email marketing platform.
