I engineer and oversee the daily west coast operations for Saalex Solutions and SaalexIT clients. My daily responsibilities cover the gambit of designing solutions for new and existing clients, addressing infrastructure and security needs, meeting regularly with existing customers to discuss projects and upcoming initiatives, and guiding our IT team with their own projects or helpdesk support questions.I have experience engineering and selling Microsoft Office365/Azure, VMware or Hyper-V based virtualized “on-premise” infrastructure, and hybrid or private virtual cloud or co-located solutions. I have built, supported, and coordinated IT staff and vendors to support Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Tomcat, and IIS based applications.I currently support a bi-coastal (CA and FL) team of 12 people from Sales, Procurement, and Tech Services and provide technical and engineering support for small, medium, and enterprise sized projects. I was hired to establish an internal forensic department to support the data preservation and analysis needs of AM100 Law Firms and Fortune 500 companies in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley markets. I collaborated with Sales and Management teams to establish procedures when handling projects both internally and with clients. Consulted with clients as to forensic needs for their cases and continuously ran multiple simultaneous projects both in Forensics and Information Technology.In addition, I took over management of IT for eLit and assisted with documenting and moving eLit's co-located equipment, once they were acquired.Besides handling forensics, I coordinated support between internal staff, myself, outsourced IT professionals, and system vendors to maintain a 24x7 infrastructure supporting the company's eDiscovery systems. Consisting of Clearwell, NUIX, Ipro eCapture, Viewpoint, and Relativity, which allowed our local and international legal clients 24/7 access to review and produce digital evidence.My team supported approx 40 physical server systems with Direct Attached or SAN storage and engineered a Hyper-V solution that consisted of another 40 Virtual Machines. This infrastructure supported the day-to-day operations of 5 offices throughout the Western US and their legal clients' eDiscovery needs.I was responsible for making sure our systems stayed up and were maintained 24x7x365 along with managing our various 250TB of storage systems. During my stewardship of eLit's IT systems, I was able to reduce operational costs by 33% and established an internal team to help support the company's IT needs.Even though IT Management took most of my time. I was able to balance my forensic tasks along with leveraging my IT team to make sure the daily needs of our customers were handled and our systems were accessible for our clients.
