Mr. McGuinness has over 35 years of experience directing both private and public equity and debt investments in the U.S. and internationally. He is very entrepreneurial having started two companies and assisted with the startup of a third company. Examples of projects he created or managed include a life science tech transfer fund with the Universities of Zurich and Bern; developing the Partnership Finance department at a large Wall Street firm that successfully resulted in over $500 million of capital invested in hard asset portfolios which generated over $40 million in revenue and additional profit participation. Mr. McGuinness also served as President of the General Partner for two investment funds.His specific skills include transaction-sourcing, evaluation and due diligence; strategic planning, business plan writing and market research; capital raising; financial analysis and modeling, and web site creation. Examples of his transaction sourcing, evaluation and due diligence abilities include the first publicly listed Chinese company on the AMEX and a private placement for one of the first cell phone proximity marketing and sales companies in 2001. Mr. McGuinness has structured, led, and conducted negotiations for a variety of investment opportunities and has conducted senior management and customer presentations.Companies where he has worked include EF Hutton, PaineWebber, and several private investment banking firms. Mr. McGuinness attended Columbia College where he majored in Computer Science.
