• Responsible for driving implementation of cost reduction projects in Central America and Europe value $12.0MM covering materials purchasing (plastics, paper, fuel, pallets, agrochemicals) ship container allocation.
• Responsible for transitioning projects to operating units once implemented.

• Responsible for all logistics (including terminal operations and inland transportation), distribution, and competitive information in Europe. Senior member of trading group responsible for loading all excess volumes.
• Negotiated three-year contract with vessel discharging service provider in Germany resulting in savings of $1.2MM per year lowering discharge and port rates. Contract increased refrigerated storage capacity.
• Negotiated two-year agreement with port of Gothenburg resulting in $.9MM cost reduction per year in discharge and port rates. Changed operation to container only discharge reducing discharge time to 12 hours savings.
• Negotiated two-year extension with discharge service providers in Antwerp resulting in savings of $1.3MM.
• Introduced Antwerp service into the UK after carrying out major analysis. Negotiated with port, discharge, and inland entities while gaining management and customers support. Major cost savings in inland and discharge.
• Negotiated Italian discharge contract for 2002 – 2004 reducing costs by $.5MM yearly. Service supplier committed expenditures of $4.0MM to improve efficiency of operations and increased refrigerated storage capacity.

• Responsible for meeting European banana demands and EU license requirements, requiring coordination of shipping, production, license and market demands. Responsible for weekly banana distribution to all North and South.
• Reduced Antwerp service by one vessel resulting in savings of $5M.
• Process of reexamining grower contracts resulted in major cost impact on fruit purchasing strategy.
