I am experienced professional with over 8 years of full-time experience in the insurance industry. I am currently serving as the Head of the Capital Management department. I have a passion for investments and financial analysis and thoroughly enjoy applying my mind to financial modelling. I am highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and use it on a daily basis to run reports on a myriad of financial data, ranging from private equity due diligence models to IFRS-compliant Annual Financial Statements (AFS).I have been a CFA Charterholder since 2019 and have used the skills obtained therein to further myself in in the investment field. I especially enjoy applying my mind to asset allocations and cash-flow management, as well as doing due diligence models for equity acquisitions and new insurance products. I enjoy having healthy, robust debates with the team around what the best investment strategies are for the prevailing and expected market conditions.My experience with the Group Solvency Assessment and Management (SAM), compilation of the Group Consolidated AFS, and the Group Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) has given me a deep understanding of financial and regulatory reporting. This has allowed me to see the bigger picture of the group of companies. It has also given me deeper insight into the forecasting process, as well as how the entire business model comes together.Serving on the internal risk management committees, as well as drafting several of the Group's risk management framework policies, has allowed me hands-on experience in the enterprise risk management process, as well as the oversight thereof. Additionally, this ties back to the SAM and ORSA above, where the risks and the mitigations thereof are put directly in the spotlight and stress tested.My hobbies include fencing, golf and obstacle course racing
