Responsible for all Accounting Department activities for a Software as a Service (SaaS) private equity backed company that provides a proven platform that helps franchisors grow and mange their business. Reporting to the CFO and responsible for global accounting operations, tax and treasury in US, Canada, India and Australia. Implemented Oracle's NetSuite ERP solution to reduce manual processes/input, improve control environment and improve financial reporting and insight. Recent focus on accounting for and integrating three acquired companies with operations in the US, Canada and Australia.

Responsible for all Finance and Accounting Department activities for a non-profit performance rights organization that collects and distributes royalties on behalf of sound recording copyright owners and featured artists. Reporting to the CFO and overseeing a staff of 10 professionals responsible for budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, annual financial statements, accounting operations, tax and treasury. Recent focus on integrating the finance and accounting operations of a recent Canadian acquisition and upgrading BI360 business intelligence platform to allow for greater reporting flexibility and insight.

Responsible for all Accounting Department activities for an “AmLaw 100” international law firm with more than 500 lawyers generating $350 million from Fortune 500 and emerging companies in litigation and arbitration, regulatory, and transactional matters. Supervise staff of approximately 30 professionals across multiple offices that are responsible for General Ledger, Billing & Collections, Partnership Taxation, Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Finance Systems. Recent focus on redesigning new client and matter intake process to improve timeliness and accuracy of the billing and collection processes and to reduce attorney time spent on administrative tasks.

Responsible for North American and Western European shared service operations for global media company with market capitalization of $25+ billion that owns such familiar brands as Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet. Supervise global staff of 100+ employees that handled over 125,000 payables transactions totaling $2.5 billion, 100,000 receivable transactions comprising $2 billion in revenue and compensation and benefits payments for 4,000 employees totaling more than $400 million. Recent focus on redesigning and optimizing key international shared service center to support the creation and operation of an international intellectual property company and preparing for additional transaction volumes from the integration of two multi-billion dollar acquisitions.

Served as the global chief audit executive and leader of process improvement programs jointly reporting to the company’s Audit Committee and the CFO. Responsible for quarterly updates to the Audit Committee, annual company-wide risk assessment and the continuous identification of financial and compliance risks. Developed and executed strategy for ensuring compliance with SOX 404 requirements for a company transitioning from private to public ownership and that management continues to rely upon today for quarterly and annual certifications included in the company’s regulatory filings. Implemented a risk-based methodology to develop the annual audit plan that also included business cycle, country, IT systems and management requested audits.

Managed the Internal Audit function at Time Warner’s AOL division. Oversaw relationships with all levels of management from the CFO to senior operations and finance leaders in each business unit and corporate functions. Led annual risk assessments of AOL Division by interviewing key executives across each business unit, developing the audit plan and presenting it to the AOL CEO and CFO. Oversaw execution of 21,000-hour annual audit plan that focused on all aspects of AOL’s global operations while managing internal teams as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers resources.

Responsible for all aspects of delivering audit and advisory services for a "Big 4" audit firm to a diverse client base that included managing financial statement audits and providing advice regarding financial accounting and reporting matters to fee negotiations and billings.
