As the Director of Internet Development at Internet Society, I oversee the strategic direction and implementation of programs and projects that aim to foster a more accessible, secure, and resilient Internet for everyone. I have more than 15 years of experience in designing, operating, and managing national and cross-border fiber networks, as well as providing technical training and capacity building for network engineers and operators across the globe.I have developed and delivered technical training content that has been used by several organizations and translated into multiple languages, reaching more than 10,000 engineers worldwide. I have also managed several projects in fields such as network deployment, Internet measurement research, and open standards, spanning several countries and multiple staff. Additionally, I have trained and certified in cybersecurity, privacy and risk with skills in designing and deploying firewalls and other security solutions for ISPs and end-user networks. I am passionate about creating and supporting communities of practice, such as Network Operator Groups, that share knowledge and best practices for Internet development and innovation.
