Managing PartnerBruce Jun 2012 - Jun 2014Merged a standalone consulting practice into Bruce Gunn Inc. (dba Bruce). Bruce was founded as "Bruce Gunn Signs" in 1932 by my grandfather, William Bruce Gunn. From 1932-1955, most of our signs, billboards, logos were hand-painted, with any printing done on large metal plates. 1955-1995 was the rise of using vinyl graphics and, eventually, digital graphic design / signage cut via CNC. By the late 90's, we got into web design, with the first large-scale projects for web and e-commerce development starting in 2001 using PHP and MySQL. In 2006 we started creating SMS experiences using Cdyne, and developed stores on top of eBay and Yahoo! Stores. In 2007, we won "Best in Stores" (for Design) across all of eBay. In 2008, we started building on top of Shopify, eventually completing 250+ projects from 2005-2014. Since 2004, we have been purchasing and holding domains for our own holdings. Selectively we have sold domains on occasion (most recently were short .link domains for 5 and 6 figures). From 2014 onward we stopped accepting large-scale client work in order to dive into launching Statflo.
